How Will iGem Instruments Ship My Order?
IGEM Instruments highly recommends that our customers use Expedited or Express shipping methods for Tri Electronics gold tester gel refills during times of extreme heat or cold weather. Exposure for extended periods to temperatures that are outside of the proper storage range (below freezing or above 85 F) might render the gels unusable. We are not responsible for damage caused by the customer's selection of a non-expedited shipping method.
We will normally ship your order using the shipping method you have selected. We reserve right to change the shipping method if we feel it will be beneficial for our client and our company or if delivery by chosen shipping method is not possible (ex. FedEx is not delivering to PO Boxes).
When your order ships, we will notify you via e-mail. We may include tracking information for your order in the e-mail or it will be posted in the "My Account" section of our website. We encourage you to track your package online or on the phone with the carrier. Most shipping companies are able to provide an estimated delivery date. Be sure to contact us if anything seems unusual with the progress of the shipment.
We ship most of our items either by FedEx or U.S. Postal Service Express or Priority Mail. Some low value items may be shipped by USPS First Class Mail or a similar shipping method if there is no rush. For shipping methods like "Standard Shipping," "Free Ground Shipping" and other shipping methods where a particular carrier is not specified, we reserve the right to ship your order using the fastest and most efficient method available. All above mentioned shipping companies provide the fastest and most reliable shipping available for most items that we sell. Depending on how close you are to the shipping warehouse, your item will arrive between 1 and 7 business days (1 to 10 business days for USPS) after it leaves the warehouse (Domestic destinations).
Items with value over $250 may require your signature on delivery and items over $500 will almost definitely require one. You may waive signature requirement by contacting shipping company, but please remember, that you will be responsible for a loss of your package if item is lost or stolen.
Can I change my shipping method or address after I've placed the order?
Yes, changes can be made provided we haven't already shipped your purchase. However, any request for changes in shipping method or address will incur a service fee of $10 or lost shipping cost (if we have already printed a shipping label which cannot be refunded) whichever is greater.
When Will My Order Arrive?
We ship most stock items the same or next business day for Express shipping methods and in 1-2 business days for regular shipping. Please add this handling period to the number of days required for the shipping method of your choice to arrive at the estimated delivery date.
For Small Parcel shipments, delivery usually takes between 1 and 7 business days (except for USPS which ships in 1-10 business days) after your order is picked up from the warehouse. For expedited services such as 3-day, 2nd Day or Next Day Air, your order's travel time is locked in to the given speed you select after the item leaves the warehouse.
