A-SOURCE DIAMOND & MOISSANITE TESTER
User Instructions

Important notes:

    1. Insert 3 x AAA batteries into the battery compartment Alkaline battery should be used for improve life. This tester also operates on AC Adaptor. Use only the adaptor (optional) supplied by the manufacturer.
    2. Switch on the unit and wait for the instrument to warm up. Warming up a green light will blink, It will stop blinking when instrument is "READY" for use.
    3. Dry and clean your gemstone, testing must be done at room temperature (18-27C or 65-80F).
    4. Remove cover to expose the measurement probe, hold the instrument at right angle and apply enough pressure to the face of the stone. For Diamond a green LED will be lighted up follow by continuous audible beep, for Moissanite the yellow LED will be lighted up.
    5. The instrument will shut down automatically after 10 minutes from the last measurement. In the sleep mode, an intermittent audible beep will continue to alert you until the instrument turn off.
    6. No further adjustment/calibration is required.

Cautions:

    1. The gemstone must be clean and dry before testing; elaborate cleaning procedures are not necessary. The tip of the tester probe must also be clean occasionally to ensure proper contact with the gemstone.
    2. For accurate testing, the instrument must be operated at room temperature (18-27C or 65-80F). Prior to any testing, always allow the gems/jewelry pieces to adjust to room temperature.
    3. To achieve optimum accuracy for very small stones (15 points and below) it is important to allow the stone to cool down before the next test,
    4. Change the batteries as soon as the low battery indicator light appears.
    5. The probe tip of the instrument is very delicate and it should be handed carefully. Always replace the protective cover when the instrument is not in use.
    6. Do not leave dead batteries in the battery compartment. Batteries should be removed when the instrument is to be stored for extended period of time.
    7. Under no circumstances shall the manufacturer of A-Source testers, or any of its distributors is liable for Direct or Indirect Damage Sustained in Connection with this product.
