Price, specifications and terms of offers are subject to change without notice. iGem Instruments is not responsible for typographical and/or photographical errors. Retail products are accompanied by the original manufacturer warranty. iGem Instruments has no responsibility to offer any technical support or sales advice. Customer pays return shipping charges for all RMA services. iGem Instruments reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

RETURNS:

We are not the manufacturer or your item, so be sure to check the enclosed brochure for manufacturer contact information and warranty coverage. Before returning an item, make sure you’ve acquired a Return Authorization from iGem Instruments. You may return your merchandise within 14 days from the date of delivery for a refund of the purchase price, and refunds will exclude shipping and handling costs, and up to 20% restocking fee for non-defective items. You must include a Proof of Purchase with your returned item(s), as well as all packaging and original documentation. iGem Corporation cannot accept returns that fail to follow the guidelines ser forth in the Return Policy. After 14 days, contact the item’s manufacturer for warranty fulfillment.

Important Information For International Buyers:

All customs dues/taxes imposed by your country's authorities are buyers' responsibility! We have no resources to calculate customs dues/taxes for every listing and we do not know if your country authorities will or will not charge it. Please contact your country Customs and/or taxation authorities to find out what customs dues/taxes may be for your purchase. We do not accept returns from our international clients, sorry.

Electronic gold testers are not eligible to be returned as soon as buyer uses them. Please contact the manufacturer for the warranty service, if such service is required.


Merchandise shipped outside the United States will not be acceptable for return.

Merchandise will not be accepted if it has scratches, blemishes, signs of wear on the item or case, and the merchandise must not have been altered—item(s) must be intact in original packaging without any wear indicating use.

Testing equipment will have a 20% restocking fee on non-defective returns; 15% of the purchase price will be deducted for other non-defective equipment returns.  Defective items will be replaced only with the same model as initially purchased.

We cannot accept returns without prior Return Authorization which must be obtained by contacting iGem Corporation by email (preferred) at: returns@igem.com, or by phone during business hours at 1-800-704-5834. Return Authorization is valid for 10 days, and the purchaser forfeits return rights completely after a 10-day period if they do not utilize their RMA within that time period.

Include all packaging and original documents, ship in same condition as received, and include original order number with your return address on the outside of the package. Ship packages prepaid via a traceable carrier (such as Federal Express, UPS), and ship to address given to you during your request for Return Authorization from iGem.

Returns that do not fit these required guidelines will not be accepted, and iGem cannot be held responsible for packages that it does not actually receive. 

Damaged or defective items: If you receive a damaged or incorrect item from iGem, contact us (email returns@igem.com preferred), otherwise by telephone at 1-800-704-5834). Refuse any packages that show signs of damage and report to iGem and the shipper immediately.

  • FedEx Express Saver - 3 business days + up to 24 hours to process the order.
  • FedEx 2Day - 2 business days + up to 24 hours to process the order.
  • FedEx Overnight - Delivery within 1 business day + up to 24 hours to process the order.
  • USPS Priority Mail - Delivery within 2 to 9 business days + 24-48 hours to process the order.
  • USPS Express Mail - Delivery within 1 to 2 business days + up to 24 hours to process the order.

  • Sorry, we do not accept any returns from abroad due to high shipping costs, unless buyer agrees to absorb all shipping and handling costs. We determine such costs at our sole discretion.

  • All International orders require 24-48 hours processing time before shipping.
  • All orders with FedEx shipping and Post Office Box shipping address, orders will be shipped by USPS.

  • No deliveries will be made on Saturday or Sunday.
  • We always do our best to ship Express orders same day, but iGem Instruments does not guarantee same day shipping; orders entered after 2pm Eastern Time will most probably not be shipped same day.
  • All orders shipped within New Jersey will be charged state sales tax. Please note that the sales tax for New Jersey is calculated based upon the total price of the order, including shipping and handling. The tax imposed by New Jersey on shipping and handling is part of the state sales tax, not a separate tax.

Damaged/Defective/Missing Merchandise:

If you receive a damaged, defective, missing or incorrect items in your order, contact us within 3 days of receipt of item. If you receive merchandise with extensive damage to its packaging upon arrival, refuse the order and contact us immediately. Please have your order number available when you contact us. In such an event, we recommend that you contact the shipper immediately to report the damaged goods.

All claims about  damaged, defective, missing or incorrect items in your order will be declined if received later than 3 days after delivery of your order to you.
